A brand is something that is used by business actors to make the products/services offered known, so that they can stick in consumers' memories. Based on Article 1 of Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning the Trademark Law, a trademark can be applied for and owned by a person, several people, or a legal entity.
Trademarks that have been registered in the name of one party can be transferred to another party. This is different from a license, because if a brand has been transferred, the owner has automatically released his rights to another party, so he no longer has the rights.
